Glamour: Friends & Fans App
Glamour is a women’s magazine published by Condé Nast Publications. Founded in 1939, it reaches a subscription audience of 1,411,061 readers in the United States. Its circulation on news stands is 986,447.
Glamour knew that they would have to be just as mobile as their readers – they asked us to create a custom mobile app for iOS and Android that would allow users to shop, play, share, and of course be stylish.

Glamour Magazine launched the “Friends & Fans” iOS and Android apps, built by Dev IQ, that integrated SpyderLynk LLC’s SnapTag scanning functionality.
Seamless interaction with Social Media was a huge priority for Glamour. The app could play videos, and would create location based messaging and interaction in the Glamour Reader community. Most importantly, readers could shop within the app, save items and make purchases.

The app was so successful it was used in collaboration with CO Bigelow for a pop-up store during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The promotion was designed to be a true cross-platform for the retail experience, allowing users to shop for their favorite products, receive custom incentives, and share on social media, by liking on Facebook and tweeting.
Creating cross-platform networking brings new value to the trusted medium of print and new unique ways to incentivize users to engage in digital media and retail that has seen unprecedented sales and viral campaigns.
